Third Sunday of Ordinary Time Year C 2025 (en español en la parte de abajo) Let’s imagine for a few moments that there is a young man among us who is a member of our parish family here. We can imagine that this young man was baptized here in the church, he grew up in our neighborhood, and that he went to school at one of the neighboring schools. In our imaginings, after he finished school, he went to work with his dad doing small remodeling jobs and making cabinets. At some point, our young man takes over his father’s business and works alone for a number of years. Then, one day he decides to travel to the holy sites of the world, and so he goes away to make a pilgrimage. After a few months away, he returns, and he comes back to our parish,and one day it is his turn to serve as lector. Let’s say he reads the second reading for that day, a passage from St. Paul’s second letter to Timothy. Our young man reads these words, “I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Je...
